Think country club, but the golf course is a garage.

Most places that will take your car are built around the car leaving. A door, a number, a padlock, and a hope that nothing happens until spring.

This is a club you hang out at, not a place you drop a car and leave. Your space, your schedule, then wander out and find somebody else who wanted to talk about exactly the thing you came to work on.

The club is about the people, not the badge on the hood. Daily drivers, project cars, classics, trucks, track toys, full collections. All of it belongs here.

The building is being converted while members move in. Here is exactly what is open today and exactly what is not — no dates we can't keep.

About insurance. Members carry their own coverage. The building is insured; member vehicles are not. That is standard for this category, and we would rather you hear it now than find out later.

About the cameras. Cameras are up and running. The full security platform is still being built, and we are not going to describe it as finished until it is.

From schoolhouse to clubhouse.

Belle Ann Elementary opened in the 1950s and taught the neighborhood for decades. It sits on ten and a half acres on Glass Road, and it has the two things you cannot build cheaply anywhere near Detroit: room, and quiet.

The gym becomes indoor space. The classrooms become garage suites. The commons becomes the part where people actually stay.
